The point of this tweet is rather straight forward but it doesn’t highlight the issue well enough in my opinion.
Over the last year, I saw more and more accounts make the same claim. You couldn’t be considered a man UNLESS you stepped into the ring. Obviously this got a lot of retweets because it’s sounded cool.
There were only two issues that no one talked about.
the guys making these claims have never been in the ring themselves
there are guys setting standards for masculinity which are not even hard to achieve.
While no one called them out, it was quite obvious none of them stepped into the ring. They didn’t realize that fighting alone doesn’t make you a man. It just makes you a fighter. It very easy to guess which people would push this kind of content.
Obviously the ones who are creating content all day without ever challenging themselves physically.
So the jokes write themselves when it comes to this matter.
They claim you need to step into the ring to be considered a man, yet never stepped into the ring themselves… So what does it make them?
Defiantly not a man based on their own standards. The funny thing is that they keep posting alpha male advice though.
So the issue is pretty straight forward. They try to set the standards for masculinity while not being able to meet their own standards. This obviously results in them lowering the standard rather than trying to live up to it or even set a higher standard.
At one point it got so bad, I saw a guy claim that walking was a masculine endeavor. So basically every one year old can be considered a man now.
The irony is that they don’t seem to realize what is happening. They obviously lack the capability to challenge themselves and are only good at staying relevant while absolutely accomplishing nothing worthwhile or at keeping their audience ignorant.
When you see people like this make claims it’s better to just unfollow them. They’ll only try to sell you more bullshit that they can’t back up themselves.
Once their act gets exposed they’ll quickly disappear because the last thing these people will do is actually challenge themselves.
They are soft and weak in real life but a tough guy online. They will shy away from any challenges that takes more effort than typing a minimum of 240 characters.
The initial male self- development spheres were good but I went quickly downhill.
So what can you do?
Well, it’s 2023, try to challenge yourself instead of falling for gimmicks like this. Try to become a better version of yourself.
The last thing you want is being a weak keyboard warrior who tries to maintain this “I am strong and tough” facade.
In my next post I will talk about why you should consider competing in a martial art.
